Partial & Residential Care
Partial Care & Residential Programs
The Adult Partial Care Program provides comprehensive treatment and support services to adults (18 years or older) whose lives have been disrupted by a severe and persistent mental illness that interferes with the ability to function productively within the community or who have had a psychiatric hospitalization resulting in job loss, poor relationships or isolation. Participation in West Bergen’s Partial Care Program offers participants the opportunity to gain the knowledge, support and treatment necessary to improve their overall quality of life. We strive to assist participants in developing a lifestyle that promotes wellness and recovery. The PC Program helps participants to:
- Improve interpersonal communications
- Develop improved budgeting, shopping, cooking and self-care skills.
- Build vocational skills and awareness
- Participate in social and recreational activities
- Understand and manage symptoms of illness
- Find and learn effective coping skills
- Develop a support system
The Partial Care Program also provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management. The combination of wellness and recovery group activities along with medication management offers the best outcomes for successful symptom management. The Partial Care Program is available 5 days per week, Mon.-Fri. between the hours of 9:30 am – 3:30 pm. For those between the ages of 18 –35 years, West Bergen offers a “Young Adult Partial Care Track”. Programming in this service is specifically designed to meet and support the needs of the younger person who may be experiencing the beginning of a serious mental health challenge.
