Depression Intervention

Depression is more than just “feeling blue” or having a bad day. Depression and Bipolar Disorder are serious health problems that effect feelings, thoughts and actions. They are not personal weakness or character flaws. Individuals cannot simply “snap out of it.”  . Fortunately, treatment for depression is highly effective. Our multidisciplinary clinical team offer high quality treatment interventions which include Medication Management, Cognitive Behavioral, Interpersonal, and Family Systems Therapies.

Symptoms Include:

  • Frequent sadness, tearfulness, crying
  • Decreased interest in activities, or inability to enjoy previously favored activities
  • Low energy, boredom
  • Cycles of elevated and depressed mood
  • Social isolation
  • Low self-esteem and guilt
  • Increased irritability, anger or hostility
  • Major change in eating and/or sleeping patterns
  • Difficulty with relationships
  • Frequent complaints of physical illnesses such as headaches or stomach aches
  • Thoughts or expression of suicide or self-destructive behavior
  • Frequent absences from school, poor concentration and poor performance
