Melinda egan at West Bergen in 2015. At the start of her lifelong career as a Masters prepared Advanced Practice Nurse, Melinda was Awarded ANCC Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in which she practiced in a variety of ambulatory care settings in Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey including a Nurse Leader designation at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Melinda graduated Columbia University in 2007 with a Post-Masters Certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received ANCC accreditation as a PMHNP in 2014.
Melinda wrote her Master’s Thesis on the use of Therapy dogs in Mental Health care. Her Sheltie, Raffi passed his therapy dog certification on 11/4/2015. Raffi will be providing pet therapy at West Bergen’s Partial Care Program and eventually throughout WBMHC.
Melinda is a 25 year resident of Bergen County, and is involved in a variety of Community based programs including Ridgewood Cares-an organization that provide errands, meals and assistance to those in the Ridgewood Public School System experiencing a health crisis and Jamboree, since 1947, Jamboree has presented an original musical revue raising funds for need based college scholarships.
