CARF Accreditation

West Bergen Mental Healthcare regularly analyzes the performance of our programs and services by tracking and assessing efficiency and effectiveness outcome measures. Recently, West Bergen received its sixth consecutive Three-Year Accreditation from the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for the following programs:

Day Treatment: Mental Health (Adults)
Outpatient Treatment: Mental Health (Adults
Outpatient Treatment: Mental Health (Children and Adolescents)

This is the highest level of accreditation awarded by CARF and demonstrates West Bergen’s commitment to excellence and conformance with the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable, and accountable. Client Satisfaction

We at West Bergen understand that quality of care, as measured by customer satisfaction, is the key to success in healthcare service delivery. Each year, we survey our clients and submit our results to the Mental Health Corporations of America (MHCA), who then compares our data to other agencies treating similar populations with similar services across the United States.

Each year, MHCA recognizes those providers who achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction in their service category. In our most recent survey, West Bergen is proud to have placed first in the nation in the following categories: 

  • Overall in Agencies Surveying 3 to 4 services
  • Overall Mental Health
  • Outpatient Mental Health

Some notable data from the survey includes: 

  • 98% of respondents would recommend West Bergen to others
  • 98% of clients feel their individual needs were addressed
  • “Privacy and Confidentiality” was the highest rated feature in the survey
